The Lord is My Shepherd

Believers don’t fit.  Believers don’t belong to this world. Enoch, one of the first believers in history, did not fit into his ancient world and so, the Lord snatched him away and took him to heaven. Old Abraham, our father in the faith, didn’t fit either. He always felt out of place with the world around him.  The Bible explains: “Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.” Hebs 11:10.

And believers today…Christians…still don’t belong to the world.  Why?

It is because when the Lord is your Shepherd he takes you on a different path to the one everyone else is on. So, believers belong to another place…another country…that is not of this world.

Our home is where God lives. Dear believer, one day Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, will eventually lead you to your true home. In the meantime, keep your eye on the Shepherd and go where he goes.
